Two Week Show lockdown period
BORING STUFF & SORRY TO GET SO SERIOUS
This info has been taken form the Show info pack.
- ➡ Putting a successful show on is no easy job so the following rules are ABSOLUTE to ensure that we ALL have a great time during rehearsals. The school works on a ‘One Rule for All’ basis as this is the only way to be fair in all situations so please do not ask us to ‘bend the rules’ when it comes to absences.
- ➡All performers MUST attend their last 2 weeks of rehearsals prior to the show and be on time for lessons. Any student unable to do so unfortunately will not be included in performances.
- ➡A polite request from The Happy Quarters to be open & honest with us regarding these dates to avoid any upset for both parties. As you can imagine we always have people affected by dates and other commitments but have to apply the same rule to everyone so that it’s all fair.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
The last few weeks in rehearsals include lots of aspects like technical rehearsals, costume changes, costume alterations, dresser meetings, theatre talks with the students and helpers and It’s really difficult to do those things without a full team at any level. Most importantly this is not fair on fellow performers as a missing body effects the entire group.
- 100’s of man hours will be carried out in preparation for these performances so to lose a student from formations will mean disruption to the entire class so PLEASE think of everyone involved. Please do not put us in a position where we have to look your child in the eyes and tell them that they can’t be involved because of bad attendance etc. We have always worked on a ONE RULE FOR ALL basis. We are a FAMILY & a TEAM
SOMETHING NEW TO THINK ABOUT THIS TIME.
The show falls on the weekend that most students finish for the summer holidays which means that the 2 weeks previous to this (2 week lockdown period for us) they will be having school day trips out etc. Please bear this in mind if you have mid week lessons with us as the 2 week lockdown period is final. We know these can be a difficult decisions to make however the schools rule is final for everyones enjoyment.
