DESCRIPTION:POP UP BIG FINALE: Carrie Anne Ingrouille\nCHOREOGRAPHER OF SIX THE MUSICAL & RESIDENT CHOREOGRAPHER OF HAMILTON\nWED 31st March | 7.30pm til 8.30pm.\n\n\n\nWe’ve been lucky enough to follow the career of Carrie-Anne from noticing her Blaze back in 2013 and being blown away by her performance to being nominated for an Olivier Award for ‘Best Choreographer’ for SIX the Musical. \n\nWe are SUPER excited that Carrie can join us for our last online Pop Up of the lockdown season. Carrie will be teaching for Broadway Dance Centre on Broadway before popping online to Newton on the 31st and that our friends is the beauty of Zoom\, which offers us the chance to get hold of (and support) artists such as her during this crazy time. \n\nABOUT THE ARTIST\nCreativity and performing arts have always been at the forefront of everything Carrie-Anne has done.  On her home island of Guernsey\, from as far back as she can remember\, Carrie was dancing\, entertaining\, choreographing and teaching to anyone who would give her the chance to do so. \nLucky enough to get a multi skilled training on her homeland – she was aware from a young age that this was it\, this is what she wanted to doas a career\, and at 19 she made the move to the arts hub of London to study professionally on a full time Musical Theatre course. \nAfter graduating Carrie furthered her training through various open classes as well as company classes with two of London’s most successful hip hop companies – Dance 2XS and ZooNation.  It was with the latter that Carrie continued to grow through the company from performer to teacher\, dance captain\, assistant and both associate choreographer and director. \nFast forwarding to more recent years and the exciting ascent of her career\, Carrie’s name has become synonymous with the global smash hit musical “SIX” for which Carrie received an Olivier Award nomination for “Best Theatre Choreographer”. Other nominations received include OFFIE and WhatsOnStage – also for best choreography. \nCarrie has a big heart for the theatre but engages and enjoys art in all its forms.  She has also worked on various music videos\, live and corporate events\, artist movement\, judging both nationally and internationally\, and a big love of hers – teaching.

Ages 11 & up. \nDouglas trained at the Italia Conti Academy in London and then continued his training in New York & LA. \nOn returning to the UK Douglas worked as a dancer and assistant for Artists such as Take That\, Sugar Babes\, Five\, Dianna Ross\, Phil Collins\, Peter Andre\, and Jennifer Lopez. Douglas has appeared in performances at The London Palladium\, The Brit Awards\, Smash Hits poll winners party\, Top of the Pops\, MTV Awards and the EMA’s. \n\nHe has also taught and choreographed as either guest or resident for most of the prestigious vocational dance and musical theatre colleges in the UK and Europe including Arts Educational\, Mountview\, Tiffanys\, Masters and Bodywork Cambridge Performing Arts. \nDancers Douglas has trained have gone on to support artists such as Beyonce\, Pixie Lott\, Rhianna\, Jay Sean\, Rita Ora and Mariah Carey in Los Vegas. Most recently Douglas choreographed pieces for the Strictly Come Dancing West End show featuring Pasha Kovalev & Anya Garnis.

DESCRIPTION:Celebration of Youth\nPERFORMANCE ONE \n29th March: Globe Theatre\, Blackpool \nOur Shellieschainements\, Grade 6 Ballet Students & Tuesday Funk classes are excited to be performing at the Globe Theatre\, Blackpool on Sunday 29th March as part of our performance year. \nOur 2 numbers will be ‘Human’\, which was originally a shellieschainment number plus ‘Feel Good Funk’ which is a mix of new a old HSD funk numbers put together just for this one performance. \nTickets have been ordered and will be dished out to our parents when we receive them from the organizers & rehearsals are in full swing whilst the school is on ‘Crack on’ mode during the recent world health issues. \nFingers crossed we get to do this performance as we & the students are really enjoying the rehearsal process and it would be great to have a day trip out.

However\, this is not suitable for our mini funk members at the moment but we can always take a trip to japan when we’re older.\nBROOKLYN TERRY\nWorld-renown for both his hip hop\, house dancing & choreography. Brooklyn terry has worked & performed with internationally acclaimed acts such as: Mariah Carey\, Will Smith\, Whitney Houston\, Lil Kim\, Da Brat.\n\nThis artist has successfully brought the raw style of self-taught dancing into the mainstream media. \n\nTerry is also a member of the crew\, Elite Force\, a.k.a. Mop Tops\, which has been recognised as constructing the face of “true hip hop dance”. \n\nTerry has toured with Rennie Harris Puremovement\, the world famous Hip Hop theatre group which also first inspired Miss J in the world of house at none other than the Contact Theatre\, Manchester.\n\nDespite his commercial success\, Terry has maintained his status as a dancer in the underground New York club scene and in street dance circles around the world by continuing to enter dance circles and innovating and developing his skills.\n\nWe are honoured to have this true pioneer of Hip Hop joining us at HQ to share is passion and knowledge of House.\n\n\n		\n		\n			BOOK NOW
