RISE UP 22 LIVE

If Carlsberg did weekends… ? Long post alert ?
What a weekend, what an experience, what a dance family!
This time last week we finally had the opportunity to dance & perform as a whole school together & what a blessing it has been to see each of our students shine so brightly. A rollercoaster of emotions that has left us reeling, bursting with pride & completely exhausted but it was SOOOOOOOO worth it! So much so that on November 19th & 20th we’re going to return to the Contact theatre & repeat the whole experience once again… how lucky are we?!
To give thanks to the support network that is our glorious dance family doesn’t feel enough, the bonds that have been made & strengthened during the process of this business we call show has been a feast for the senses. We understand that this may sound a tad OTT but this is how we feel… if you were there you know x
As we approach the schools 50th year we can honestly say that we have never in the schools history, that we have a memory of, had such a strong team of HSDers onstage & off, it’s been an honour & a pleasure from start to finish creating & producing this piece of work we call “Rise Up” & we cannot wait to repeat it.
The response to this production has been truly overwhelming & we are so grateful for all the wonderful, heartfelt messages we have received. The buzz that continues throughout our HQ during classes is both exciting & inspiring.
To everyone that has danced a step, sprayed a costume, taped a shoe, dyed a pointe shoe, overpaid for petrol, waited in the car park, stuck a sequin, plaited hair, created wands, sewn elastic, typed & laminated lists, printed tees, ordered costumes, returned costumes, altered costumes, scoured the internet, taken fantastic pictures & video footage, dressed a dancer, chaperoned a HSDer, ran up & down theatre steps, given time, energy & support in any way we say a mahoosive THANK YOU… YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!!
& breathe ???
