NATD Exams | Street Life & Making History

MAKING HISTORY!
This weekend brought us the first ever examinations for the all new NATD Original Street Styles Graded Syllabus for which our very own funk guru Jemfunk was an integral part in creating. Miss J has worked tirelessly for the past 2 years alongside the Street Development Committee to document this body of work which for her has been evolving throughout her 26 year long teaching career.
To be the first school in the world affiliated to the NATD to enter students for these graded examinations has been a huge milestone for HSD73 & Miss J herself & we’re honoured to be able to do this after all the hard graft, time & energy that has & still is going into this new syllabus.
We could not be more proud as a dance family to be a part of this groundbreaking achievement for the NATD & many thanks to everyone that has shared their love through their kind messages of support, you will never know how much it means.
We must not forget also the dedication, time & energy that it takes to prepare for vocational examinations. Our Intermediate Foundation Ballet students took to the studio with grace & poise as always to end this monumental of HSD73 examination sessions.
A huge thanks to Miss Wendy Bates, who today was the first examiner of an NATD Original Street Styles session. Her professionalism (& head grooves) were appreciated throughout the day and the candidates, some of whom were taking their first exam, were made to feel at ease & thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Big thanks to Lynda for the most beautifully prepared Easter lunch as always & to the rocks that are PJ & Nomes for always giving their time & support to their dance family ❤️❤️❤️
Much gratitude to everyone, exam candidates & dance parents alike who were so enthusiastic in their approach to this very special & important event in our HSD73 dancelife.
💚 More memories to treasure 💙
