NATD examination session number 4 please! Another Sunday another NATD exam session & what a lovely lil’ sesh it was too. Our HSD73 Fam never fail to make us proud & yesterday was no exception. The first half of our 50th year has most certainly been a memorable one filled with fantastic opportunities, achievements & as always good vibes plus proudly maintaining our 100% examination pass rate. About Friday 11th August… Our HSD73 family celebrated Hip Hops 50th birthday by sharing The Five Pillars of Hip Hop with our HSD Funkateers. 1/ Breaking (The dance) 2/ Writing (Graffiti) 3/ Emceeing (The wordsmith/rapper) 4/ Dj’ing (The controller of the party) 5/ Knowledge (Understanding the elements of the Hip Hop culture) The philosophy of true Hip Hop culture is PEACE, LOVE, UNITY & HAVING FUN and that’s exactly what our HSDers brought to HQ led by our very own lover of all things Hip Hop Culture, our Funk guru, the legend

NATD Theatrical Scholarships Northern Heats
More 50th year memories were made this weekend as we joined 8 other talented NATD Northern & Midland Area schools at the annual NATD Theatrical Scholarship Heats. A long but very rewarding & enjoyable day for both entering students & our support network of dance friends & fam. Our Jemima, Matilda & Lucy Legs danced their hearts out & did their dance family proud, holding their own amongst a sea of Senior level talent but most importantly thoroughly enjoying the experience. What a clever, dedicated & talented bunch we are, with the most amazing support network we could ever hope for 💚💙 This past week has been a real treat to watch our HSDers present their NATD examination work to family & friends & revel in their success whilst sustaining our 50 year achievement of 100% pass rate with a full set of distinctions with marks ranging from 80 through to a whopping 97 out of 100! 🏆 As this years GCSE’s & A Levels come to their very welcome
Birmingham Hippodrome
A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER This last Saturday 3rd June we took a 20 strong team to the prestigious @brumhippodrome to join talented dance schools from around the country at another @chance2danceuk event. These guys know how to organise a positive, inclusive event, bringing multiple schools together, 2 shows a day for multiple days is a real challenge but they always nail it & always with a smile… Once again thank you CHANCE2DANCE you’re the best in the business..Our HSDers did the fam proud as always, making more wonderful
